At that time, Nepal had struggling economy and very impulsive political conditions. The consumers were being sandwiched between Royal Monarchy and Democracy since 1990. In that situation, there were the domestic detergent market had only premium segment, with very few players and was dominated by Multinational and Indian companies. It was 1999, when Mr Vishwanath Prasad Shah, started selected town selling of his detergent by our own van, priced at astonishing NPR 20 per kg., when the available brand in the market was NPR 30-40 per kg.

It was the really innovative, quality product with indigenous process, packaging and low profiled marketing, which suited the habit of Nepalese housewives for washing their clothes. In a short span, V-Series created an entirely new market segment in domestic market-place, which is eventually the largest consumer pockets and quickly emerged as dominating market player.

The performance of V-Series during these years had been labeled as 'storm'. The brand surged well ahead its nearest rival - WHEEL, which was well established product of Nepal lever, in many terms.
